Laboratory introduction
Technology is the driving force for the progress of the production process. The innovation of technology enables the production process to improve efficiency and quality, reduce costs, enhance intelligence and safety, in order to respond to technological trends, improve research convenience, and promote the integration of theory and practice. The Operations Management Lab continuously improves various soft and hard equipments and is committed to creating a better and more efficient research environment.
In the hardware facilities, the laboratory layout is based on natural greening, creating fresh visual effects, breaking the framework of individual independent space, using open research space to promote discussion and communication among members, and using ASUS in the laboratory. ASUS Smart house helps control personnel in and out. Recently, The lab has added several high-performance computing servers. Among them, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is an important unit to support the computing power of Deep Learning and Data Analysis, and the highest specification comes to the GeForce RTX 3090. In terms of simulation operations , there are 3D printers and smart devices. Lego (Industry 4.0), VR glasses, remote lenses, multimedia space, etc., provide multi-device applications to increase the practical experience.
In the software suite, in addition to the above two database management systems, the lab also provides Flexsim (3D simulation and analysis software), which can be used for various practical 3D simulations, which facilitates process analysis and improvement; in addition, Microsoft Azure (cloud service) is also purchased. Combined software, providing cloud computing and data storage, analysis and management services.

Our bonus system
A points-based reward system encourages Lab Members to take certain actions (P1, P2, or P3) to earn points that can be used to qualify for bonuses. It assigns points to each task; for instance, students earn 5 points for performing lab duties and 15 points for joining lab activities.
The prizes will be awarded at the end of each semester to 3 Lab members who have the highest total points.
